FINANCIAL ADVISORS

S G Long Financial is seeking experienced Financial Advisors to join our team. This position will be responsible for providing financial planning, financial advice, and investment management to individual consumers, small businesses and institutional clients.  The successful candidate will have knowledge of market performance and investment strategies, but also must have excellent communication and people skills since sourcing new clients and providing financial advice is a large part of the job.

Responsibilities:

  • Transition existing clients and continue to build book by generating leads, referrals and clients from business networking, community involvement, and applied sales practices

  • Develop relationships by meeting with clients to review their existing financial situation and to establish the client/planner relationship.

  • Analyze, develop, recommend and implement an investment strategy suggesting specific investments and insurance products, including separately managed investment accounts, mutual funds, annuities, equities, fixed income investments, corporate and tax-exempt bonds, life insurance, etc.

  • Keeps abreast of new planning tools, products, and resources, changing regulations and professional standards Understanding and complying with all aspects of regulation and practices, including laws and regulations governing the duties and responsibilities of the industry

  • Maintaining all necessary licenses and registrations as required, including completing all mandatory training and industry-related continuing education in a timely manner

  • Exceed customer expectations in terms of accuracy, efficiency, courtesy, and professionalism

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of related sales experience and/or financial services experience.

  • Current Book/AUM >10 Million

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or related field of study

  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
