Michael F. Kleese - Board Member

Tenure on Board: 10 years

After years of public and private law practice in Indiana and Montana, in 1980 Mr. Kleese joined First American Title and managed its office in Hamilton, Montana, until 1988; then managed their Missoula office until 1993. In addition, he was state manager and state legal counsel for First American Title Insurance Company in Montana. He has presented numerous seminars on title insurance, 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges and related topics. Mr. Kleese was a member of the state Milk Control Board, having been appointed by four different Montana governors. He was an approved instructor for the Montana Association of Realtors, a guest lecturer at the University of Montana School of Law, and has testified as an expert witness in a number of litigated cases. Mr. Kleese was honored as “Executive of the Year” for 2002 by the Montana Land Title Association and was a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers.


Education: B.S. (1970), Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana (1973).
